Re: New Here with a few Q's |
I bet you'll like "Modes of the Moment" from 1917, which looks like NIN outtakes.
Great futurism- "Design for Dreaming" "Century 21 Calling", "Once Upon a Honeymoon"
Also don't miss "A Visit to Santa" which belongs in Guiness Book for worlds worst film IMHO.
One of my favorites "Dial comes to Town"
Just type the titles in the search window and make sure the other part says Prelinger Archives.
Have fun!
More favorites: Civil War, Aluminum on the March, Safe Roads, Shopping Can Be Fun, In the Suburbs,
A is for Atom, Look to the Land, any of the Warner-Pathe Newsreels (mostly cold war), Cindy goes to a Party, Freedom and Power...
Warning these films can be seriously addictive if you learn to burn them to DVD disk!!

NIN Outtakes? |

I would love for you to explain this.. Not disagreeing with you, just wondering how you compare them.

Re: NIN Outtakes? |
Probably a dumb comparison, but there was this video that they or the lead singer did that was all flickery and looked like it came from the same time period. Not all their stuff, mind you, but that one. I think it was called "closer". If you saw that one, that's what I meant.

Re: NIN Outtakes? |
Oh by the way, Spuzz, thanks to your idea for a contest to the outtakes series, I got off my butt and merged the silent 39 Frisco Fair stuff with a mp3 of Tangerine Dream's Encore (live 1977) LP and was pleased that it worked and at the same time realized how difficult it might be to edit everything to make sense. Just a first experiment to see how sound and picture work together or against each other. Learned a lot. Thanks!
